About the program
Each of the 20 companies accepted into the SkyDeck full cohort will receive investment of $200,000 from the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund. Each of the 10 startups accepted into SkyDeck Europe will receive investment of €145,000 from our dedicated European Fund. Berkeley SkyDeck is UC Berkeley’s global startup accelerator. Named in Forbes as a top five U.S. university accelerator, SkyDeck combines hands-on mentorship with the vast resources of its research university. Participating startups have access to SkyDeck’s 480 advisors, 50 industry partners, and a network of more than 510,000 UC Berkeley alumni.

Berkeley SkyDeck leverages our network of 500,000 Berkeley alumni to help startups succeed. Located on top of the tallest building in downtown Berkeley, we combine the consulting know-how of traditional accelerators with the vast resources of our research university. This robust partnership is coupled with SkyDeck’s unique mentorship program to create a powerful environment for your startup. Our mentors and our large network of investors connects you to the expertise and the capital you need to launch and grow your startup...to the moon.

We invest in and accelerate transformational startups from outside of the US. We love deeptech, biotech, quantum computing, spacetech, AI, battery technology and everything that involves heavy research and academic efforts. Startups must have raised less than $1M to apply.
