SIIC incubates ventures in technology, engineering, and other interdisciplinary areas. It was set up in collaboration with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to foster innovation, research, and entrepreneurial activities in technology-related areas. The center offers a whole gamut of incubation facilities and services to prospective entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to convert their innovative ideas into commercially viable products. It was established in 2000 and is based in Kanpur, India.
