Venture Kick was launched in 2007 with the vision to double the number of spin-offs from Swiss universities, to accelerate their speed-to-market and to raise the attractiveness of these young companies among professional investors and industry partners. Selected members from a jury pool with more than 150 leading startup experts in Switzerland evaluate 20 startup projects at different stages at three sessions every month. CHF 10,000 PITCH YOUR BUSINESS IDEA Eight projects are selected to present their business ideas at each jury session, which take place several times throughout the year. Four of them will receive 10,000 francs each, so you've a 50% chance of passing the first stage. If you want to know whether your idea will make it, just apply! CHF 40,000 PRESENT YOUR BUSINESS CASE During the first three months, project teams structure their business ideas, target initial customers and strategic partners to build a solid business case, and are invited to convince the jury they deserve to be among the two projects, from the four pitching, selected to receive the second kick. CHF 100,000 TO KICK-START YOUR STARTUP Six months later, the teams have to be ready for the market: they have demonstrated their entrepreneurial capacity, have built solid foundation for successful execution of the venture and can back up their vision with tangible market feedback.
