Start.coop

Start.coop is focused on cultivating the next generation of transformative cooperative businesses at scale. The accelerator is a 16-week, all remote program that selects up to 8 of the most promising early-stage startups committed to cooperative ownership and provides them with a robust business and governance curriculum, individualized coaching, expert mentors, access to shared services, and investment, all in the context of a strong and supportive alumni network and cooperative community. Our graduates include The Driver’s Cooperative in NYC which has raised over $1.2m in crowdfunding and has been featured in the New York Times, Ampled which is a musician owned alternative to Patreon, and Kinfolk, an online marketplace for home products exclusively from Black creators.

In exchange for $10,000, the accelerator program, and all the follow-up support, you agree to share a small amount of future revenue back to Start.coop, so we can fund our work with other co-ops.
